This movie feels like growing up. Falling for someone when you least expect it. Saying things you don’t mean because you’re afraid. Realising that being vulnerable is far braver than pretending you don’t care.

The title poem says it all. Kat lists everything she “hates” about Patrick, only to realise that what hurts most is how deeply she cares. Sometimes the emotions we try hardest to bury are the ones that reveal the truth about ourselves, no?
